Bio-Fil HO ( Hang-On Tank ) Wet/Dry Filters include Bio-Pin Balls® and provide the most effective method of aquarium biological filtration available. Excellent choice for fresh or saltwater fish tanks. Designed as a retro-fit that hangs on the backside of an existing, or new, aquarium ( glass or acrylic ) Bio-media helps increase oxygen content of the water.

Overall dimensions that hang on the backside of the tank are 22 1/2" Long x 4 3/8" Wide x 15 3/16" Tall. There is a internal surface skimmer placed inside the tank and the siphon tubes and return line will add and additional 2" extending above the tank.

This design incorporates an Internal Surface Skimmer Box, Siphon Tubes ( to move water over edge of tank into filter ), Pre-filter sponge, an efficient drip plate for full distribution of water over the bio-media and a reliable Rio brand water pump. The rugged acrylic construction is durable and is easy to install. Fits most glass tanks and with acrylic tanks requires filter- slots for siphon tubes to pass through. Designed for fish tanks up to 75 gallons.

The optional UniQuarium 13" Protein Skimmer fits into the pre-filter section of the Bio-Fil Hang On Filter.
