Crushed Coral is a blend of natural marine carbonates designed specifically for use as a premium marine substrate. It contains aragonite, which provides up to 25 times the buffering power of other crushed corals, dolomite, or oyster shell. Florida Crushed
Coral helps to maintain high pH and provides maximum surface area for water purifying bacteria. It never needs replacing. Use Florida Crushed Coral for saltwater, African Cichlids and other freshwater fish that need a very high pH (8.2+). It can also be used
in calcium reactors and plenum systems, to deliver not only calcium and carbonate buffer but also strontium (up to 10,000 PPM). The corals extremely precise grading pormotes uniform water flow throughout the filter bed with low head loss and it resists packing,
channeling, and the formation of anaerobic "dead spots". The size of the grains are between 2-5mm diameter (1/8 - 1/4"). Size: Net Wt. 50 lbs. * Extra cost due to shipping weight. Suggested amount is 1lb of gravel per 1 gallon of water.
